The atmosphere is wonderful and you can warm up there very well after a long walk. I had the elderberry tea and the Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce and both were delicious. Highly Recommended.

Don't even deserve a star! Too expensive food that doesn't even taste good! I can even make it tastier myself. Staff is rude. Nothing special!!

The food was good, but unfortunately the majority of the ingredients are Konvinien or frozen goods. The sauces are also finished products. Glutamate and flavor enhancers are therefore abundant. Unfortunately the prices are quite high on this offer.

Location, location and ambience 5 stars. Ideal as a stopover while hiking, cycling or drinking coffee. Drinks a bit too expensive for rural areas, but okay for the surrounding area. Unfortunately, food is also way too expensive for the quality. Anyone who wants to eat delicious is wrong here. The last couple of times, unfortunately, some of the waitresses were very unfriendly.

Delicious food at fair prices, the ambience transports you to the Allgäu. Everything very tastefully decorated down to the last detail. Service always nice and friendly. With the motorbikes a must to stop and so, always worth a trip.

It was my first time here today and I was absolutely thrilled. It is very cozy, the view is awesome, the food is delicious and the service is just awesome. Can only recommend it and look forward to a new visit soon 👍🏼

Very nice restaurant with a great view. You sit very well outdoors and the children have a lot of space to run around. There is also a playground. The view is really great. We didn't really like the service and the food. The map is straightforward. The plates looked good and these portions are large. We didn't really like it. The waitress is not very cordial and you sometimes have to wait a while until someone cares. But maybe you just want to recreate the original feeling of a ski hut.

Everytime a good meal! We tried most what's on the menu and were never disappointed.

Amazing location overlooking rolling fields, forests and a small village. Fantastic German food and beer, great place to eat outside or inside. Huge grass pasture right next to the outside eating area where children can run and play.

Have dinner here with the family after a busy day. The atmosphere is very nice and the toilets (ladies) clean, thank you very much in advance. The food was delicious, the red cabbage to kneel. It tasted very good every way. If I find the way again, gladly again. The service staff is very friendly and also joking;)

Is great for a motorcycle trip. The atmosphere is great. Man feels like we are in Bavaria or Austria. And that 10 minutes from Kassel. The food is really good and plentiful. The prices I find, unlike others described here, relatively okay.

Average meals that are totally overprized in a nice atmosphere.

A very nice stop. I share the opinion that visitors from abroad might be suprised to see a Bavarian fashioned restaurant up so far north the Alps. But as anywhere else local food places try to set themselves apart from competition and this is how this place chose to fashion itself. This place is catering to bikers, while it does not offer accomodations, it is located in the Kaufunger Wald which is a particularly scenic route to ride through, you will not be able to speed or race, but the place offers routes to enjoy The price in the Königslalm is not cheap though, there are no real budget meals to be ordered. The next similarly fashioned spot is the Bavaria Alm in Torfhaus in the Harz mountains from where you can watch the Brocken summit or commence your hike up there. It is also a biker's hot spot. Omitting the Autobahn it is about 111 km away, so you have a two hour ride between stops.

Awesome place, fantastic food and drink. Great atmosphere

This place is set up to look like a Bavarian restaurant, which might be lost on a lot of North American guests, as they consider a lot of Bavarian cliches equivalent to German. This of course shocks non-Bavarians. Food is good, prices fair, the service started to slow down as the evening wore on.
